The ThinkPad P17 Gen 2 mobile workstation PC is equipped with your choice of high-performing 11th Gen Intel® Core™ or Intel® Xeon® processors that deliver the mobile power and features you need to succeed. You get top-notch visuals, too, thanks to a wide selection of pro-grade NVIDIA® RTX™ graphics cards—up to RTX A5000 with 16GB of onboard vRAM. Plus, when you need a power boost, the Ultra Performance Mode setting delivers. For our VR users grab a model with the powerful RTX A5000 and connect your headset to the USB-C port directly connected to the graphics card.

You’ll get more from your day with the ThinkPad P17 Gen 2 mobile workstation. It features a huge, 17.3" antiglare display—the biggest we put in a workstation. Choose a 300-nit FHD model or a 500-nit UHD model with Dolby Vision™ HDR and Factory color calibration. There’s plenty of room for all your work, and you get ultimate visual performance wherever your day takes you.
The speed you need
With up to 6TB of the fast-access SSD storage (M.2 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe), you’ll read, write, and save project data like never before. Workflows are enhanced, too, with up to 128GB of speedy, 3200MHz memory that makes multitasking a breeze, even with memory-intensive applications. Plus, there are multiple ports and slots for device-to-device connectivity, including two USB-C Thunderbolt™ 4 ports.

Strong security, easy recovery
The ThinkPad P17 Gen 2 helps safeguard your data from the moment you pick it up. A match-on-chip fingerprint reader stores your biometric data on a separate system chip to deter hacking. In addition, there’s the discrete Trusted Platform Module (dTPM) for hardware-based data encryption, plus a self-healing BIOS that can restore earlier system settings when needed.

The P17 workstation offers ultimate flexibility, starting with the operating system with the traditional Microsoft Windows OS. Coming the fall 2021, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of Linux® options from Ubuntu® and Red Hat®. You’ll also get amazing audio thanks to the up-firing Dolby Atmos® Speaker System, with clear, distortion-free sound to motivate and entertain.
